The seventh President of Rotary Club of Isolo Metro, Abdulganiu Mapelujo, has reaffirmed the club’s commitment to empower 300 persons with skills. He said this would be his key project during his investiture and fundraising ceremony held in Lagos, adding that the project would gulp N5m.

Mapelujo promised not only to carry out the projects contained in the seven areas of Rotary International focus, but to also take the club to the next level through membership development.

The President who had already executed the project for the month of maternal and child health by donating to nursing mothers and infants at a Primary Health Centre, looked forward to donating school items to the club’s Interact Club and also educate them on their future endeavours and how to confront challenges that would come their way.

“We will execute every project earmarked for every month, encourage every member to donate ten dollars each to Rotary Foundation and additional ten dollars for polio eradication.
“We were able to sponsor two candidates to Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA)” he said.

The President after his successful tenure will like to be remembered for taking the club out of members’ deficit and for executing laudable projects.

The event that also witnessed induction of officers to assist the President in his Rotary year and was attended by Past and current presidents of other Rotary clubs.

The immediate Past President, Adefunke Shodunke in her hand over notes itemized the laudable projects carried out during her tenure as the 6th and female President.
