Belgian Jupiler Pro League champions Club Brugge are set to complete the signing of Super Eagles-eligible attacker Wisdom Mike, Soccernet.ng reports.
Mike joined Bayern Munich’s academy from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2022 and has since risen through the ranks to the reserve team at just 17 years old.
Last season, the promising youngster made his Bundesliga debut for Bayern’s senior side, logging four substitute appearances. Mike stands out for his pace, dribbling, sharp ball control, and two-footedness, which allows him to operate effectively on either flank.

However, given the fierce competition in Bayern’s squad, first-team minutes remained limited—a situation unlikely to change in the upcoming campaign. Seeking regular senior playing time to sustain his development, a move away became the practical choice.

Following weeks of speculation, transfer expert Florian Plettenberg confirmed that Mike will join Club Brugge on a permanent deal. The Belgian outfit will pay an initial fee of €5 million, alongside performance-related add-ons and a sell-on clause.
Can Wisdom Mike Play for the Super Eagles?
A regular starting role at Club Brugge will definitely accelerate Mike’s development, and that will bring his international future into focus.
Born in Germany to Nigerian parents, Mike is eligible to represent any of the two countries. But in the meantime, he is currently an active German youth international, having featured at the U-15, U-16, and U-17 levels.
Since a senior German call-up remains unlikely in the short term, the door stays wide open for Nigeria. As long as he does not make a competitive senior appearance for Germany, he remains eligible for the Super Eagles and could develop into a valuable asset for the national team if he decides to switch allegiances.
