Celtic interim head coach Martin O’Neill has given an injury update on Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho, Soccernet.ng reports.
The former Leicester City striker joined the Hoops during the summer transfer window under the influence of his former coach, Brendan Rodgers.
However, the former Liverpool boss was relieved of his duties as Celtic coach a few weeks back, leaving Iheanacho out in the cold.

Just before Rodgers’ sack, the former Sevilla striker suffered a hamstring injury four minutes into Celtic’s 2-1 win over Sturm Graz in the UEFA Europa League.
Since then, the one-time FA Cup winner has yet to play for Celtic, amidst rumours that the club wants to part ways with him in the January transfer window.
Kelechi Iheanacho set to miss Kilmarnock clash
Surprisingly, Celtic are currently nine points behind the SPFL league leaders, Hearts, one of the reasons Rodgers got sacked.

Ahead of their crucial clash against Kilmarnock, the club’s interim head coach, Martin O’Neill, confirmed the Super Eagles star is still out with his hamstring problem.
“Yeah, he is going to be out for a few more weeks,” the 73-year-old said in quotes revealed by Celts are here.
“I think that obviously after Sunday we’ve got this fortnight break and we’ll see how things go from there. But yeah, he certainly won’t be available for Sunday anyway,” the Northern Irishman concluded.

Celtic have been in good form of late, winning three of their last five games across all competitions.
