Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, will on Monday lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF), being held in Washington, D.C.
Cardoso, who serves as Nigeria’s Alternate Governor at the Bretton Woods institutions, will represent the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, who is currently indisposed.
Also on the delegation is the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite.
According to the World Bank, major highlights of the meetings include the Development Committee Plenary scheduled for Thursday, October 16, and the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) session on Friday, October 17.
Throughout the week, delegates will participate in regional briefings, press conferences, and high-level discussions focused on international development, the global economy, and financial markets.
The Presidency confirmed the delegation in a statement issued on Sunday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
