
As the festival period gathers momentum, organisers of the Shakara Festival have confirmed that BlaqBonez, Brymo, Yinka Alaseyori and other musical stars will be partaking in the four-day event.
In a release, the organisers stated that the festival will run from December 18 to December 21, 2025, at the Nautica Beach Resort, Elegushi, Lekki, Lagos.
Other artists billed to grace the event are Show Dem Camp, J’Dess and Mich Straaw, who will be bringing Naija Rap and Alté fire, alongside soulful Afro Soul and R&B vibes to the festival.
Fast-rising stars such as Mavo, Llona, Tar1q, and Morravey are expected to dish out Afrobeats, while Brymo and Johnny Drille will thrill the audience with alternative and indigenous sounds and the legendary The Cavemen will deliver proper Highlife groove.
According to the organisers of the festival, the Diaspora will not be left out, as they will be entertained by acts like Oshamo and Keys The Prince.
“A key highlight of the festival will be the highly anticipated ‘Shakara After Dark’ late-night party series. The renowned nightlife brand, Obi’s House, will take over the late-night stage on December 20, promising the ultimate rave experience.
“Obi’s House will bring its A-team of heavy-hitting DJs, including DJ Shawn, and Bonamax, to keep the party pulsating after the main stage concludes,” the statement read.
The CEO of Shakara Festival, Godson Oriaku, said: “Shakara Festival is a comprehensive cultural experience built around four key zones: Shakara Junction, an ultimate marketplace for culture and commerce; Shakara Series, featuring deep-dive conversations and panels on the music industry and creative economy; Shakara Games Village, a dedicated space for competitive and casual gaming; and Shakara After Dark, the premier late-night party experience.”
The festival will climax on Sunday, December 21, with Shakara Gospel Day, which will feature Gbenga Akinfenwa, SMJ, Yinka Alaseyori, Bidemi Olaoba, Sinach, Kingdom, Magpsalms, Ada Ehi, Gerald Bishung and many more
