Super Eagles striker Peter Olayinka has started training on the pitch at Red Star Belgrade after being sidelined for the last six months due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, Soccernet.ng reports. The Ghanaian government has handed over 231 Nigerians rescued from an alleged human trafficking and cybercrime ring to Nigerian authorities. Speaking at the handover in Lagos, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, confirmed that the victims, mostly young men and women, had been trafficked into Ghana under false pretences and exploited for cyber fraud. The World Health Organisation has called for urgent measures “to curtail rising medicalisation of Female Genital Mutilation” and to engage health workers to prevent the practice.
