The Sasakawa Africa Association has said Nigeria spends about $10bn annually importing wheat, rice, sugar, fish and tomato paste, despite ongoing efforts by the government to transform the agricultural sector. The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Mrs Kemi Nandap, has temporarily relieved the commanding officers of the affected commands along the Lagos-Seme border corridor of their duties following online reports alleging extortion by personnel of the service. Nandap also ordered an immediate investigation into the incidents. Delta Air Lines has entered a partnership with Amazon, an agreement aimed at transforming the in-flight internet experience for millions of passengers, in a move both companies say will redefine how people stay connected in the air.
