Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has reportedly been a victim of cyberbullying from a section of Sevilla fans.

Adams has had a topsy-turvy stay at Sevilla since joining the club from Montpellier at the start of the year in a deal worth €5.5 million.

He joined the club midway through last season, but he spent most of the campaign on the sidelines due to multiple injuries.

This season, his injuries have reduced significantly. However, he has failed to deliver consistently for Los Nervionenses.

Adams has managed two goals and two assists in 14 appearances for Los Nervionenses this season.

He probably could have scored more, but he has developed an unwanted reputation for consistently being offside. In fact, he is the player who has committed the most offsides across the top five European leagues.

The 25-year-old striker was in action for Sevilla in their 1-1 draw against Valencia last weekend. Adams played the entire 90 minutes, but he was one of the worst performers on the night, receiving a rating of 5.8 from Flashscore.

Adams registered one goal attempt, 22 touches, and committed three offsides.

Akor Adams Insulted by Fans

After the game between Sevilla and Valencia, Akor Adams posted a picture of himself in action on Instagram. However, he was insulted by a section of Sevilla fans who were unhappy with his performance.

Consequently, he removed the comment option from his post to prevent the insults from continuing.

Right now, the Super Eagles star is the main striker for Sevilla, following an injury to Isaac Romero.

He will likely be in action for the club when they square off against Oviedo at the Ramos Sanchez Pizjuan. Adams will be looking to score again and get back into the good graces of Los Nervionenses fans.
