Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has described the late Elemure of Emure-Ile, Oba Simon Adedubaje Adeyefa I, as a visionary monarch who was deeply committed to the welfare of his people and the development of his community.
Speaking on Sunday at a church service in Emure-Ile, the governor, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, spoke on the monarch’s dedication to creating opportunities for the youth and advancing the town’s development
“Kabiyesi was always talking about gainful employment for the youth of the community and development of the town as a whole. He was, indeed, a pro-people monarch,” Aiyedatiwa stated.

He noted that beyond his contributions to development, the late traditional ruler was also dedicated to serving God, praying for his soul to find eternal rest.
The governor extended his condolences to the royal family and the entire people of Emure-Ile, urging them to uphold the king’s legacy.
“It is remarkable that he also used his stool to serve God, and I pray that his soul will find eternal rest in the Lord,” he added.
In his sermon at the service, the Bishop of Owo Anglican Diocese, Stephen Fagbemi, represented by Ven. Seth Akinro, praised the late king for his unwavering faith.
He described Oba Adeyefa as a devout Christian who was committed to the service of God throughout his reign.
The interdenominational service was attended by dignitaries, community leaders, and religious figures who paid their last respects to the revered monarch.
