The Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has deployed 52 vehicles to Ondo and Gombe States.
The movement said the move is to boost grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The vehicles, 26 in each state, were presented on Tuesday in Akure and Gombe, capitals of Ondo and Gombe States respectively, during the inauguration of local government coordinators of the movement in the two states.
Represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited, Kestin Pondi, Tompolo urged the coordinators to intensify door-to-door campaigns and mobilise voters in communities, local government areas, religious institutions and other public spaces.
Speaking in Akure, Pondi charged the coordinators to convert the state’s registered voters into actual votes for Tinubu in 2027.
“Become ambassadors and translate the 2m registered voters to votes.
“We are inaugurating local government and ward coordinators today with 26 vehicles to reach every nooks and crannies, and creeks to hear the PBAT story.
“The president is the son of the South West and he is doing well. Today, we no longer have fuel queues, we no longer have ASUU strike, salaries and pensions are being paid. Preach it everywhere. I urge you to encourage the President with your votes in 2027,” he said.
In Gombe, Pondi said the vehicles were intended to support the movement’s campaign activities and help spread the President’s message across the state.
“Today we came into Gombe to inaugurate the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement chapter of Gombe State and also to bring vehicles that will support the message,” he said.
Governors Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State and Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, in separate remarks, thanked Tompolo and the movement for providing the vehicles and other campaign materials to facilitate grassroots mobilisation.
Both governors expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress’ electoral prospects, declaring that the party was united and committed to securing Tinubu’s re-election in their respective states.
Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed Ondo State’s support for the President, saying the vehicles would improve the campaign coordinators’ ability to reach voters across the state.
“Ondo State is for Asiwaju. That’s where we stand. So, let me thank the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement for the donation of these vehicles that would ease mobility and ensure that our coordinators reach every part of this state,” he stated.
Yahaya, on his part, highlighted the state government’s agricultural development programme targeting farmers, herders, processors and young people engaged in agricultural activities.
He said the initiative was receiving support from a N130bn grant approved by Tinubu.
The National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, also called on residents of the two states to support the President’s second-term ambition, describing his administration as committed to development across the country’s six geopolitical zones.
Asuku cited the establishment of regional development commissions and the restoration of financial autonomy to local governments as evidence of the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance.
He urged voters not to be swayed by opposition parties and called on residents of Gombe State to support Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The mobilisation drive comes as political actors begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections, with parties and support groups seeking to strengthen their structures at the ward and local government levels.
