The Kaduna State Police Command has invited the Senator representing Kaduna Central, Lawal Adamu Usman, over an allegation of a threat to the life of Governor Uba Sani.
The invitation, contained in a letter signed by the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Mohammad.
According to the letter, the command received a formal complaint from Governor Sani through the Kaduna State Ministry of Justice.
“This is to inform you that the Kaduna State Police Command is in receipt of a formal letter of complaint levelled against your humble self by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, through the Ministry of Justice, Kaduna State, in respect of the underlined offences highlighted above,” the police said.
The police directed the lawmaker to appear in person before the Commissioner of Police at the state command headquarters on Monday, September 1, to respond to the allegations.
“You are kindly requested to appear in person to the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, on Monday, 1st September, to respond to the said allegations. Your cooperation in this regard is highly appreciated, please,” the letter added.
