Operatives of the Osun State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun Corps, have arrested three men for allegedly raping three minors across the state.
This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Corps’ Public Relations Officer, Yusuf Abass.
A 26-year-old teacher, Elijah Olawale of Ijebu-Ijesa community, was arrested upon the complaint by his wife for allegedly having canal knowledge of her daughter.
The victim was 9 years old, according to the statement.
According to Abass, during the interrogation process, Elijah confessed to defiling her wife’s daughter some three (3) years ago and happened to lay with her recently which led to his arrest. He made it known that he had taught in schools and couldn’t fathom what led him to commit such a disgraceful act.
In a similar case, the Corps arrested an indigene of Akwa-Ibom State who was on farming work in Modakeke, Osun State.
The suspect identified as ThankGod Friday, a 26-year-old and resident of Modakeke along Ife-Ibadan express road, allegedly raped his employer’s daughter of 12 years old.
“He confessed to raping her twice, which led to his arrest by operatives of Osun Amotekun to face the full wrath of the law,” the statement noted.
In the same vein, Adeleke Sodiq, a 60-year- old man, allegedly forcefully gained access to the body of a 6-year-old toddler of Ode-Omu, Osun State.
“The old man who was caught raping the toddler pleaded and confessed to his first time of perpetrating the act. He lured the child with money in order to deceive her into entering his room and raped her in the process,” the statement noted.
The Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun, Isaac Omoyele, warned residents against crimes and vowed to ensure that the culprits are arraigned.
