Akor Adams has scored in every game he’s played for Sevilla since he returned from the AFCON 2025 tournament in Morocco…
Sevilla‘s newest recruit, Neal Maupay, has revealed he’s ready to partner up with Super Eagles striker Akor Adams in the club’s attack, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 29-year-old joined Los Roji Blancos on a loan deal from Olympique de Marseille, although there’s an option to buy clause included.
Maupay struggled for minutes at the Velodrome this season, playing just three games under Roberto De Zerbi, and sought playing time to put his career back on track.

Maupay looking to team up with Akor Adams for Sevilla
Akor Adams paired Victor Osimhen in attack for Nigeria during the AFCON 2025 tournament, and it clicked for the three-time African Champions, as they worked off each other perfectly.
Sevilla head coach Matías Almeyda admitted he is considering a tactical rethink in a bid to squeeze more goals out of Akor Adams, hinting a front two pairing could work.

Maupay admitted he’s been struggling with fitness, considering he’s not played many games for Marseille.
“It’s been difficult because I haven’t played much, but I’m looking to bring my best to Sevilla,” the former Brighton and Hove Albion striker said in quotes revealed by Orgullobiri.
The French-Argentinian is also looking forward to playing alongside Akor Adams, although he clarified that he can also play as a lone striker.
“We can play together. We are different, and that can help the team. We will give our maximum to win games and make the fans happy,” Maupay concluded.

Maupay could make his debut for Sevilla next Monday in their clash against Mallorca at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix.
