Operatives of Lagos State Police Command have arrested two suspects for breaking into a shop in Iju-Ishaga area of the state.
The suspects: 24-year-old Adeyemi Ibrahim and 45-year-old Taiwo Adisa were intercepted by patrol officers from Oko-Oba Division in a mini bus popularly known as Korope, with one generator, one gas cylinder and one bluetooth speaker.
Upon questioning, it turned out that they just broke into a shop in lju-Ishaga area of Lagos and stole the items.
Also, the Command has arrested a fake soldier in the Ijegun Isheri Oshun area of the state.
The fake soldier with the rank and name, Sgt Major Femi Balogun was arrested during a routine visibility patrol by the Isheri Oshun Police Command along Fagbile Estate in Ijegun, Isheri Oshun.
Balogun was apprehended in full military uniform and suspected to be a fake soldier, and taken to the station after police reached an agreement with the Military Guard Commander guarding the pipeline in Ijeododo.
Spokesperson for Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the development.
He said the Command sent for the army to identify the suspect and he was confirmed fake on interrogation.
“He also confessed to the crime, while the military confirmed that he had been on their wanted list,” Hundeyin added.
