Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has announced that his four-year stint in the PSL with Chippa United has come to an end, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 29-year-old joined the Chilli Boys from Katsina United in 2022, and the decision paid off two years later as he made his official debut for Nigeria.
Nwabali was thrown into the mix at the AFCON 2023 tournament in Ivory Coast and became the solution to the Super Eagles’ long-standing goalkeeping problems since Vincent Enyeama retired from the national team.

Stanley Nwabali parts ways with Chippa United
Chippa United officially announced the decision on the Social media page, thanking Nwabali for his time with them and wishing him the best in his future endeavours.
“Chippa United Football Club confirms that Stanley Nwabali has formally submitted a request to depart the club. After careful consideration, the club has agreed to grant his release.
“We would like to sincerely thank Stanley Nwabali for the years of service, commitment, and professionalism he has shown during his time at Chippa United Football Club.
“His contribution to the club will always be appreciated.
“The club wishes Stanley every success in the next chapter of his career and in all his future endeavours.”
In turn, the goalkeeper also posted a farewell message on his X page, thanking Chippa United for being his home for the past four years.
“It was more than a family. To my lovely teammates, dear coaches, amazing fans and great chairman.
“As I stand here to say farewell, a part of me will always remain with this club. I wish you success and happiness in the seasons ahead.
“Thank you and farewell. Until we meet again,” the former Enyimba International goalie wrote.
Nwabali’s contract at Chippa United was due to expire in four months, but it appears he’s eager to force a move, hence the decision to part ways with the Chilli Boys.

Per multiple reports, Nwabali is expected to join Moroccan top-flight side Raja Club Athletic. Chippa United, meanwhile, are 14th in the PSL, one point above the relegation places.
