Isah Ojo As part of efforts to ensure access to clean water, the United Nations Children’s Fund has handed over six solar-powered boreholes to the Borno State government. The borehole projects that spread across the Maiduguri Metropolitan Council and Jere aim to provide 12,000 people access to clean water. One person named Odah Monday of Inyafuo village in Effium autonomous community of Ohaukwu Local Government Area has been killed by suspected warlords. The Ebonyi State Ministry of Justice has reported handling a total of 1,487 cases over the past two years, with 590 criminal and 897 civil matters recorded during this period. This update was provided by the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice (CJ), Mr. Ben Odoh, during an interactive session with journalists in Abakaliki on June 6, 2025.
