Police officers on Sunday dispersed a protest in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, using tear gas to break up a demonstration against a series of deadly attacks that have claimed over 100 lives in recent days. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 44-year-old businessman, Ezemokwe Chukwuebuka Christian, at the Port Harcourt International Airport for attempting to smuggle 53 wraps of cocaine to Iran by ingesting them.
