The Lagos State government yesterday shut down the Oko-Oba Abattoir in Agege over unsanitary practices, waste mismanagement, and unhygienic handling of animal products. The National Pension Commission (PenCom) says the total assets under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) rose to N23.33 trillion as of March 31. Mr Saleem Abdulrahman, Director of Surveillance, PenCom, disclosed this on Thursday in Lagos. Abdulrahman said that the figure represented an increase of ₦820 billion when compared with the ₦22.51 trillion recorded as of Dec. 31, 2024.
