The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of 12 Commissioners of Police to the next rank of Assistant Inspectors General. Former Principal Staff Officer to the IGP and CP in charge of Oyo State, CP Johnson Adenola, is one of the beneficiaries as he has been elevated to the enviable rank of AIG. A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has ordered the remand of an officer of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jubrin Buba, at the Kuje Correctional Facility. A Federal High Court in Kano has dismissed a suit filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop the statutory allocation to 44 local government councils under the leadership of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP).
