Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation Whirl Stroke, have killed a suspected kidnapper and arrested two others in separate operations across Benue State. The Lagos State Government has formally installed Ibrahim Saliu as the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Ibeju-Lekki, urging the new monarch to use his reign to reconcile members of the royal family and unite the community. There was panic along the Onitsha-Owerri Road near the Army Checkpoint in Ihiala, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, on Sunday after a fully loaded petrol tanker fell by the roadside, obstructing traffic and raising fears of an explosion.
