The cost of refilling cooking gas in Nigeria surged in June 2025, with prices for a 12.5kg cylinder rising by 33.52 per cent compared to the same month last year, according to a new report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The average price for refilling a 12.5kg cylinder of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) climbed to ₦21,010.56 in June 2025, up from ₦15,736.27 recorded in June 2024.
