The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has moved four Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) centres in four local government areas of Borno State to Maiduguri metropolis over security concerns. Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have recovered three vehicles suspected to have been stolen and abandoned in different parts of the city. The operation, conducted on August 11, 2025, followed credible intelligence received by officers attached to the Central Police Station.
