The Edo State House of Assembly has confirmed eight nominees for appointment as commissioners. Those confirmed are Nosa Adams, Yakubu Oshiorenua, Felix Akhabue, Prof. Omorodion Ignatius, Ohimai Ehijimetor, Eugenia Abdallah, Godwin Afekokhe Eshieshi and Prince Kassim Afegbua. A young man, Cletus Emmanuel Onyekachi, has accused operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Miniokoro Police Division, Rivers State, of unlawful arrest, extortion and assault along Igbo-Etche Road.
