Tragedy struck yesterday as about 15 Jehovah’s Witness worshippers lost their lives in a fatal road crash at Awomama Bridge in Imo State. The accident occurred at about 6:45 p.m. when a trailer driving against traffic collided with a bus carrying the victims. The worshippers, who were from the Agwa community in Oguta Local Council, were returning from the annual Jehovah’s Witness Assembly Convention in Uli, Anambra State. The Police Command in Enugu State says it has arrested two male suspects and recovered four locally fabricated firearms, including an imitation gun, one live cartridge and other incriminating exhibits.
