The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) said it has completed the recovery of train coaches and locomotives that derailed on August 26, 2025, along the Abuja-Kaduna rail line near Asham. The Lagos State Government has demolished illegal shanties and a car wash in the Lekki area of the state. Commissioner for the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed the operation in a post on X on Tuesday.
