Armed men invaded the home of former Ijebu-Ode Local Council Chairman, Alhaji Emilola Gazal, in the early hours of yesterday, carting away valuables, cash, and his vehicle after forcing him to make a bank transfer. The incident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. when a gang of three armed men broke into his residence. Eyewitnesses said the attackers compelled Gazal to open his banking application and transfer funds before escaping with his silver-coloured vehicle and other belongings.
