The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has slammed President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, describing him as a “tribal bigot” whose utterances are divisive and dangerous to Nigeria’s unity. Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has convicted Garuba Mohammed Duku, a retired Director of Finance and Administration with the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC) under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), for corruption and money laundering involving N318 million. The court found Duku guilty on a six-count charge filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in suit number FHC/ABJ/CR/608/2022.
