A crisis has erupted within the Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the dissolution of the State Executive Committee (SEC) led by Ugochukwu Agballah by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC). The Ogun State Controller of Corrections, Kamarudeen Adesina, has said that no fewer than 550 inmates across the state’s correctional facilities have earned various degrees and vocational training between the years 2024 and 2025. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on Professor Joash Amupitan, the President’s nominee for chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to make the prosecution of electoral offences a priority if confirmed by the Senate.
