The Federal Government has condemned the military coup in Guinea-Bissau, describing it as a serious threat to democracy and regional stability. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed that 2,449,475 Nigerians have so far completed their registration both online and through physical capture. According to a report by the commission, 1,425,898 applicants finalised their online pre-registration, while 1,023,577 completed the process at physical registration centres nationwide. The report released yesterday noted that Osun State led the exercise with 193,026 completed registrations, followed by Imo with 144,209 and Kano with 142,433. Sokoto recorded 132,584, while Lagos posted 115,334. Borno followed with 112,226 and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 106,855. Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has signed the 2026 Appropriation Law worth N897.87 billion.
