The Sokoto State Police Command has arrested three suspected members of the notorious “Sai Malam” cult group, believed to be behind rising criminal activities in parts of the state. The suspects, including the alleged gang leader Usman Shu’aibu, were apprehended on Friday during an intelligence-led operation executed by the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit. The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors has suspended its indefinite strike after 29 days of industrial action. The strike, which began on November 1, 2025, was suspended following deliberations at an Extraordinary National Executive Council meeting held on Saturday. Nasarawa State Government says it has apprehended 96 persons for violating environmental sanitation laws across the 13 local government areas of the state.
