Two people lost their lives after a bus driving against traffic rammed into a truck along the Ososa section of the Sagamu–Benin Expressway. PUNCH Metro learnt on Sunday from a telephone conversation with the spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, that the accident occurred on Saturday. Authorities in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State have dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming that armed men attacked a mosque in the area, killing an Imam and several worshippers. The Imo State Government on Saturday shut down a hotel and a privately owned mortuary in Umuhu Autonomous Community, Ngor-Okpala, following the discovery of decomposed and mutilated bodies during a security operation targeting suspected kidnappers along the Owerri–Aba Expressway.
