Agency The Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has pledged to collaborate with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control to eliminate fake, substandard, and adulterated drugs from the market. Soludo made the promise on Saturday in Onitsha while addressing traders of Ogbo Ogwu and surrounding markets, which were recently shut down by NAFDAC for dealing in counterfeit and expired drugs. The Dangote Petroleum Refinery on Sunday announced a reduction in its price of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, to ₦970 per litre for oil marketers. The company’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, disclosed this in a statement. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) says charges will now apply anytime customers use the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of banks other than theirs. This was contained in a circular dated February 10, 2025, and addressed to all banks and financial institutions, the apex bank’s acting Director of Financial Policy and Regulation Department, John Onojah. “The three free monthly withdrawals allowed for remote-on-us (other bank’s customers/not-on-us consumers) in Nigeria under Section 10.6.2 of the Guide shall no longer apply,” the circular partly read. Troops of 6 Division, Nigerian Army, have dismantled 18 illegal refining sites and arrested 17 suspected oil thieves in a major operation against oil theft in the Niger Delta region. Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has abolished the new traditional councils created by his predecessor, Godwin Obaseki, in Edo South senatorial district. The governor also restored the statutory financial entitlements of the Benin Traditional Council (BTC) and ordered that the status quo before the creation of the now abolished councils be maintained.
