The Nigerian Army has expressed concern over the low number of applications from Southeast states for its 2025 recruitment drive. The Nigeria Football Federation has expressed sorrow over the death of Charles Bassey, a member of Nigeria’s 1980 Africa Cup of Nations-winning team.
