The House of Representatives Committee investigating alleged discrepancies in Nigeria’s gazetted tax laws has pledged to submit its report as soon as its work is concluded. The Chairman of the Committee, Muktar Betara, gave the assurance on Wednesday following the inaugural meeting of the panel, which was held in Abuja on Tuesday. Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 4,393 officers and men to clamp down on criminal activities during the Christmas celebrations in Lagos and Delta states. Of the total number, 3,100 personnel were deployed in Lagos, while 1,293 were posted to Delta State.
