The Kano State Government has imposed a ban on all live political programmes aired on radio and television to curb the spread of inflammatory speech. The Police Command in Imo has demoted an officer, Sgt. Anayo Ekezie, to the rank of Corporal, for brutalising a middle-aged man in the state with a smoke gunner.
