Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River North have fully supported the National Working Committee’s decision to reinstate the suspended state chairman. The stakeholders include Sen. Jarigbe Agom-Jarigbe (representing the senatorial district), and lawmakers Peter Akpanke (Bekwarra/Obudu/Obanliku) and Godwin Offiono (Yala/Ogoja federal constituencies). The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a welder, Oladokun Johnson; a truck driver, Azeez Salami and a truck owner, Olaleye Kamaldeen, over the electrocution of a 23-year-old apprentice, Jonathan Emmanuel, at a welding workshop in the Asimolowo area of Ifo. An official of the American International School, Abuja, on Wednesday told the Federal High Court in Abuja that the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, paid a total of $1,606,763.68 in tuition fees for his children, including an advance payment of $845,852 for his young children to be enrolled in the school in the future. Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council worldwide, yesterday, cautioned against attempts to create ethnic tension over alleged attacks on truck drivers in the South-East.
