The Katsina State Government has commenced the distribution of cash grants and food items to 7,220 widows and less privileged women across the state as part of its social welfare programme. It directed the Nigerian Communications Commission to enforce the immediate shutdown of the websites in the country. The House gave the directive during plenary on Tuesday. The Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Education, Science and Technology has warned contractors handling construction works in schools across the state to avoid substandard jobs.
