The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has called on the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to refund students who paid their fees before receiving their loan disbursements from the Fund. Managing Director Akintunde Sawyerr, represented by NELFUND’s Director of Strategic Communications Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, made the request during a sensitisation meeting with UNILAG students. Despite repeated assurances by the Federal Government that the war against Boko Haram is being won, remote communities like Kulda in Adamawa State continue to suffer deadly insurgent attacks with little or no military protection. Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has accused certain Nigerian politicians and members of the armed forces of acting as informants and collaborators for Boko Haram insurgents.
