The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of 19 people following a fatal road crash on Sunday along the Lokoja-Obajana road in Kogi State. Kumar Tsukwam, the Kogi State Sector Commander of the FRSC, disclosed the incident in Lokoja yesterday, stating that eight passengers sustained various injuries, including bruises, cuts, dislocations, fractures, and burns. Janet Ogundepo Researchers have revealed that high-fat foods may affect the immune system’s ability to respond to infection, leading to adverse health outcomes. The researchers, Emily Bowers and Gabrielle Entrup et al, who published their findings in The Journal of Immunology, noted that the high-fat diet impacted the function of neutrophils, one of the first immune cells to respond to bacteria or viruses, affecting their ability to fight infection.
