Turkish club Bursaspor have shown strong interest in signing Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru as a free agent ahead of the winter transfer window.
Onyekuru has been without a club since leaving Turkish Super Lig side Gençlerbirliği at the end of last season, after he had been dropped from the squad for the final few games of the campaign.
Despite joining the club in 2025 from Al Fayha, the Super Eagles forward endured a difficult spell and failed to show his quality at the club.

Super Eagles: Bursaspor close in on move for Henry Onyekuru
According to Turkish outlet Fotomaç, Bursaspor are keen to sign Onyekuru as a major attacking reinforcement and have stepped up their efforts to secure a deal for the Super Eagles forward.
The move comes just months after the Turkish club signed another Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho, who has made an impressive start to life at the club.

Iheanacho, who recently explained why he chose to join the club ahead of Celtic, has scored 11 goals and provided two assists in eight games this season, in an encouraging start to life in Turkey.
This impressive run of form also included a six-game scoring streak for the Super Eagles forward, who achieved the remarkable feat for the first time in his career.
Onyekuru could now become the latest Nigerian forward to join the club, with his status as a free agent potentially making negotiations easier.
Bursaspor are already in advanced talks over a possible deal, although his immediate availability would not necessarily mean he could feature for the club straight away. Even if an agreement is reached now, he would not be unable to play until January under Turkish registration regulations.
Despite this little challenge, Onyekuru would have enough time to settle into his new environment and build his fitness before becoming eligible to play for the club.

Bursaspor are reportedly looking to offer the Super Eagles winger a contract until the end of the season and he could even earn a longer contract at the club if he impresses during the short-term agreement.
