Italian Serie A club Venezia are considering alternatives to Akor Adams due to Sevilla’s insistence on demanding a major fee for the Super Eagles striker, Soccernet.ng reports.
Adams’ future has been a key concern at Sevilla this summer, as he has been attracting interest from several clubs. It comes as no surprise, as he is coming off a successful La Liga campaign.
The Super Eagles striker scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 32 appearances for Los Nervionenses in the Spanish top-flight. As a result, his importance in Seville has increased.

The value of the 26-year-old striker has grown from €5 million last summer to €15 million currently. In fact, the former Montpellier man is now the joint-most expensive player at Sevilla.
Venezia have emerged as a potential destination, with the Serie A side looking to bolster their ranks ahead of the new season. However, the deal is proving to be complicated.

Venezia are interested in signing Akor Adams and even submitted an initial offer of €10 million, which was rejected. In the meantime, they have already agreed on personal terms.
The only issue left, however, is to strike a deal with Sevilla. Los Nervionenses have already stated that they will not entertain any offer below their €25 million asking price.
But Venezia, who just got promoted from Serie B to Serie A, are unwilling to match that fee. As a result, they are looking at alternative options should a deal for Adams fail to materialise.
According to Transfer Feed, the other options on the club’s radar are Orri Óskarsson of Real Sociedad and Che Adams of Torino FC, who are considered the primary backup plans.

Óskarsson, who is 21, registered nine goals in 20 La Liga appearances for Real Sociedad last season. Meanwhile, Che Adams has experience playing in the Italian top-flight, having spent two seasons with Torino. Last season, he contributed six goals and three assists in 33 appearances.
If Venezia decide to pull out of the Adams deal, Sevilla might not find another suitor who is willing to meet their valuation. This would be a significant blow for them, as they need to raise funds this summer. It remains to be seen how the transfer will pan out.
