Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has reacted to talks about him potentially leaving Sevilla this summer, amidst the club’s declining financial situation, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 26-year-old scored 10 goals and provided four assists in the Spanish La Liga last season, and had a decent campaign with the Nigerian National team during the AFCON 2025 tournament in Morocco.
In the process, his market value has gone up almost four times the amount Sevilla paid for him in January 2025, and his performances have put him on the radar of Premier League clubs, Italian clubs, Marseille and sides from the Middle East.

Akor Adams breaks silence on Sevilla exit
As per William Lasalandra, the striker agreed on personal terms with newly-promoted Italian side Venezia, who won the Serie B last season.
It also comes after reports in Spain revealed the former Montpellier man has been made fully aware of the club’s financial situation, and won’t be opposed to moving elsewhere if the conditions are right.
Still, Akor has come out to shut those claims down, revealing he’s not had contact with his agents, so nothing concrete is in the reports that are circulating.

“It is normal that during this period there will be rumours of transfer moves for a lot of players, and not just myself,” the AFCON 2025 Bronze medallist told Footy Africa.
“I am happy that my work is being recognised, but there is nothing to it.
“I have not spoken to my agent, and I do not take such things seriously because right now it is time to relax and recharge for next season.
“We did not meet our goals last season, so the focus right now is to see how we can challenge for European places next season.
“That is the goal, and I am not aware of, neither am I thinking about, all those transfer rumours,” Akor Adams concluded.

Sevilla finished the 2025/2026 campaign in 13th place on the La Liga table and will be looking to fight for European spaces in the upcoming season.
