Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar recreated Arnaut Danjuma’s cobra celebration after scoring for Valencia in their 2-0 victory over Levante, Soccernet.ng reports.
Sadiq ended his ten-month goal drought in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday, netting the second goal for Valencia to seal a 2-0 win over rivals Levante at the Estadi Ciutat de València.
The Super Eagles striker latched onto a long pass from Javi Guerra after outmuscling a Levante defender.

He then dashed toward goal and, with only the goalkeeper to beat, unleashed a shot that rattled the net.
While the goal held immense personal significance for Sadiq, it was equally vital for Los Ches, as the win moved them out of the relegation zone and up to 14th on the league table.
Notably, after scoring, Sadiq debuted a unique celebration, using his hand to mimic a cobra.

This is a departure from his usual style; typically, he runs to the corner flag before bowing down to thank God. Interestingly, he chose to emulate Danjuma’s signature move instead.

Will This Be the Start of a Resurgence for Sadiq Umar?
For strikers, goals are the ultimate currency. When they fail to find the net, confidence often wanes, leading them to take fewer risks, which in turn makes it harder to return to their best form.
Fortunately for Sadiq, having finally found the back of the net, the monkey is off his back. With the pressure now eased, he can play with more freedom.

Valencia coach Carlos Corberán will be hoping that the Super Eagles star begins to score regularly.
Although they have climbed out of the relegation zone, the table remains tight, and they could easily be dragged back into a scrap if they don’t maintain this momentum.
