Eric Chelle has named his Super Eagles Lineup for the game against the Atlas Lions, and has made some interesting selections for the semi-final clash…
Galatasaray star Victor Osimhen and Fulham star Alex Iwobi are among the big names in Eric Chelle’s starting eleven for their AFCON 2025 semi-final clash against Morocco, Soccernet.ng reports.
Nigeria maintained a 100% record through the group stage, sweeping past Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda to top the group heading into the knockout round.
In the round of 16, they scored their highest in the tournament so far, putting four past Mozambique at the Complexe de Fes.
The highly-anticipated quarter final against Algeria saw Chelle’s men play with confidence and an unmatched swagger as they secured a 2-0 win over the Fennec Foxes in Marrakech.
Now, they take on a spirited Moroccan team that have conceded just one goal from five games, and are unbeaten in 22 games across all competitions.
While the Super Eagles need to be prolific in front of goal, they must also keep things tight at the back.

Who Are The Super Eagles Stars That Will Start Against Morocco?
Stanley Nwabali confirmed he was struggling with injuries in the game against Tunisia and was rested, with Francis Uzoho standing between the sticks in Nigeria’s 3-1 win over Uganda.
The Chippa United was reinstated against Mozambique, but failed to make a save, claiming he was on ‘holiday’ as Chiquinho Conde’s men failed to muster an attempt on target, and the same repeated itself against Algeria.
Standing in goal against Morocco, the 29-year-old’s performance could make or mar the results for Eric Chelle’s men at full-time.

Like Nwabali, Semi Ajayi was rested against Uganda. The Hull City defender returned to the starting lineup to partner Calvin Bassey in the heart of the defence against Mozambique and then Algeria.
The pair continue their AFCON 2025 run against Morocco tonight, while Bruno Onyemaechi and Bright Osayi-Samuel take up the left and right back spots, respectively.
Wilfred Ndidi’s card accumulation means he’s suspended for the semi-final clash. Raphael Onyedika steps into the number six role, while Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi completed the Super Eagles midfield. Ademola Lookman plays ahead of the three, completing Eric Chelle’s midfield diamond.

Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams have been the perfect profiles for a front two in Chelle’s system since the Sevilla striker made his Super Eagles debut against Lesotho last October.
The pair start against Morocco tonight and will be looking to put Walid Regragui’s side to the sword this evening.
