Arsenal are currently in trouble following their position in the League standing and really need a response at the moment.
It’s so unfortunate to say the least about the Gunners performance in the season. They started on a bright note defeating Fulham and West Ham United in emphatic fashion.
But they seem to have lost their grip as they continue to struggle following their defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers two week ago. The loss to Burnley was also not friendly for the team to deal with.
And This has left Mikel Arteta’s job on the line at Arsenal.
But we wonder if relieving the young Spaniard from his role as Arsenal boss is the right thing to do at the moment.
Arteta’s team may be underperforming for now but sacking the young Spaniard may not be the real solution to Arsenal’s current dilemma.
Any new manager coming in will still inherit the current team with the same issue and this should sway the club in sticking with Mikel Arteta with the sole aim for continuity.
Also his initial season (top performances) promises should not be neglected after helping Arsenal defeat the tactful (German boss) Jurgen Klopp during the Charity (community) Shield earlier in the season.
He’s proven his onus against young coaches like Frank Lampard and United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having beaten the Red Devils this term and drew with Chelsea 2-2 in the first few months of replacing former boss Unai Emery.
Arteta has demonstrated courage and credibility in the Arsenal role despite his sides poor run of form at the moment.
It’s just a matter of time for the former Everton star to narrow his weakness. And the Arsenal (board) hierarchy should stand behind Arteta so as to aid him to pull out of this mess in a short while as the case may be.
He’s got the act to get his side into the tick of the moment as they welcome Southampton on Wednesday night in the Premier League.
While his decision to rally behind star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the club was spot on, Arsenal must be patient with him to enforce the building process. The club should undergo a period of endurance for the Spaniard (Arteta) to put things in order.
However. while the club pay the price of patience, Arteta must respond with quick measure to get Arsenal out of their current doldrums they are passing at the moment in the Premier League.
