Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to rumours that the South-West regional security network, Amotekun that the outfit would not tolerate indecent dressing and bastardizing of Yoruba language by the youth in the society.
The rumours have led to a serious backlash on social media.
Reacting to the rumours, the former lawmaker from Kaduna expressed that if the security outfit extends beyond the security issues which it was established for, it would become the South-Western version of, the Hisbah in some states in the north.
The very moment Amotekun extends their mandate beyond security issues to the enforcement of ‘decent dressing’,they have become Hisbatekun.
