The General Commission thanked the Egyptian government; Minister of Transport, Kamel Elwazeer; Ambassador of Egypt to Côte d’Ivoire, Wael Badawi; the embassy and others.
In a statement, the Commissioner, Barthélemy Kouame, again congratulated President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, for his victory at the Babacar Ndiaye Trophy in 2020.
The Commission thanked the AfDB and the President, Akinwumi Adesina, for his availability and sponsorship of the initiative since 2016.
Gratitude was extended to Prof. Carlos Lopes, President of Conference Board, for his permanent support and orientations.
The theme for 2021 is: “Roads and transport for health: actions and achievements to meet the challenges in Africa”. It was motivated by the health crisis the world has been going through for more than a year.
The 2021 Conference will be an opportunity to share experiences on how roads and transport build and improve health in Africa.
Several African Transport Ministers have been invited to join the Egyptian Minister of Transport.
The organizers have invited public and private institutions to share their experiences. They further thanked event partners and sponsors.
“The Commission salutes the memory of Dr. Babacar Ndiaye who donated his name to this continental event and whose work inspires”, the statement added.
